๐ก๏ธ SafeSport Training Requirement
The safety of our swimmers is our top priority! ๐๐โโ๏ธ SafeSport training is required for all RHST swimmers and for any parent or family member who will volunteer on deck or work with athletes.
๐โโ๏ธ Athletes โ 100% Required
Every swimmer must complete SafeSport training before the first day of practice.
- ๐ง Ages 12 & Under: Swimmers may complete the SafeSport for Kids course.
- ๐ง Ages 13+: Swimmers must complete the SafeSport for Youth Athletes course.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง Parents & Volunteers
All parents are strongly encouraged to complete the Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sport course, even if they do not typically volunteer on deck.
๐จ Anyone volunteering on deck or working with athletes MUST complete SafeSport training before volunteering.
This includes:
- โฑ๏ธ Timers
- ๐ฃ Announcers
- ๐โโ๏ธ Stagers
- ๐ Officials
- ๐งน Set-up and clean-up volunteers
- ๐ช Concessions volunteers who are on deck
- ๐ค Anyone else working directly with athletes
Volunteers may not help on deck or work with athletes until their required SafeSport training has been completed.

All required SafeSport training must be completed before the first day of practice.

๐ New users: Please follow the attached instructions to create an account and complete the appropriate course.
โ ๏ธ Important!
Each swimmer and each parent/adult must have their own SafeSport login, which requires a separate email address for each person. Each person must complete their own training and earn their own certificate.

SafeSport is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing abuse and misconduct in sports. Through education, training, and resources, SafeSport helps athletes, families, coaches, and organizations recognize, prevent, and respond to emotional, physical, and sexual abuse.
The Midlakes Swim & Dive League requires SafeSport training for all teams in the league to help meet insurance requirements, educate and support families, and protect our athletes.
