WORKSHARE POLICY
RHST is a parent run organization that requires a commitment from all families to provide a fun and enriching experience for our kids. To enable RHST to host and participate in swim meets we are estimating that it will take 500 jobs to make our season run successfully. Each family is expected to work 10 meet or other jobs and 2 concession jobs over the course of the season.
At least 7 jobs must be completed at home meets, which include:
– Inter‑squad Meet
– All dual meets held at the Rolling Hills pool
– B Champs
– If your swimmer is participating in A Champs and Distance Meet you are expected to cover a Workshare shift.
Volunteer jobs are divided into several categories:
- Deck Jobs: set up, event flipper, timer, official*, or clean up
- Officials Jobs: event ref, starter, stroke & turn, relay exchange
- Concessions Jobs: grilling, concessions stand
- Away Meet Jobs: timer or official*
- Other Jobs: dishwasher, meet food donation, assisting with the pool party / pancake breakfast / team pictures / senior sleepover or banquet.
Workshare Buyout Option
Families may opt for the Workshare buyout, which is $600 per family for the season. This buyout fee must be paid in full no later than April 17, 2026 and only refundable if withdraw by the full refund date.
Families that do not submit the Workshare Buyout by this deadline will be required to complete the full 12 Workshare jobs and will be billed for any missing jobs at the standard per‑job rate.
Unfilled Hours
Unfilled volunteer requirements will be assessed a $75.00 fee for each missed job and the family will not be able to register for next year until the balance is zero.
